With the closing of August, we all know it’s coming. The start of school. Some of you dread it, others look forward to it, and some are indifferent. Hopefully this year will be better than the last, and since this year is just starting it can’t hurt to be positive, right?
Well, let’s get right down to it. Some of you may know me, while for others, this may be your first time in this room. This website will serve as common resource for many of you. However, since the inception of my site (three years ago), I’m changing it every year, and this year is no different. I’m doing away with most of my video tutorials. If you’re looking for a resource or video on the software or concepts we cover, head over to the old site here and check out the Resources and Tutorials pages. I will be using this page for articles, inspiration, and activity ideas within the classroom. As such, I’ve chosen to develop the site into a more fluid/visual layout than a more structured blog. It may take some getting used to, but it makes sense seeing as how we are a visual based classroom.
Anyways, if you haven’t already, be sure to learn a little bit about me. I wrote a lot in there for everyone to learn about me…seriously.
I would like to take the time to welcome everyone to the year (and my classes). Part of what makes these classes an ever evolving entity is getting feedback from you as the student. I also like to know a little bit about who you are as a person and a students as well as what types of interests and goals you have for the year and beyond. With that in mind, I’ve created an introductory survey for everyone to complete as part of the start of the class. Below you will find the links to the survey for your class.
Here’s to another (hopeful) enjoyable year.
